"Don't live your life, live your dreams!"
Séverine Pont Combe has never shied away from challenges. Like TAG Heuer, she constantly pushes back the limits and never cracks under pressure.
At the age of 5, encouraged by her father, Eric, who shared his love of exertion and competition with her, she discovered a passion for sport and decided to make it her living. She now passes on the values of respect for nature, oneself and others to her young elementary school students in the town of Sierre.
After karate, swimming, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and running, in which she competed at national level, in 2002, Séverine Pont Combe discovered a new passion: ski mountaineering. Perseverance and passion for this sport have allowed her to reach international rankings and an impressive winning record. In all she has won 15 medals in World and European Championships since 2006 as well as 7 Swiss Championship titles. Her next challenge: La Patrouille des Glaciers which she has already won 4 times, in 2006, 2008, 2012 and 2014. The most famous international military ski mountaineering race, organized by the Swiss army but also open to civilian teams, will be held on April 19 to 22, 2016 between Zermatt and Verbier and will attract more than 5,000 competitors. With her impressive record of past successes and holding the record for the women's race, Séverine is the firm favorite this year and will race in the colors of TAG Heuer, the event's official timekeeper. Determined to add a 5th title to her record and give it her best in everything she undertakes, Séverine Pont Combe, like TAG Heuer, rejects the notion of limits and never cracks under pressure.
For more than 150 years, TAG Heuer has faced down every challenge, and then pushed past it. By defying the time-honored conventions of Swiss watchmaking, it has led it to ever higher levels of precision and performance. It makes its own rules, chooses its own path, never quits moving forward, never compromises, never cracks under pressure, just like its ambassadors.
