As almost all F1 drivers, Sergio started his learning of motor racing in go-karts categories in Mexico then in North America before moving to single-seater series in Europe, with success like in 2010 when he finished 2nd of GP2 series.
He then moved to Formula 1 where he achieved 3 podiums over 19 races during his two first seasons.
Highly talented, Sergio is a true racer and will form an amazing duo with his teammate at Vodafone McLaren Mercedes, Jenson Button!
