Russell is probably the most well-known skipper of the America’s Cup in the world. And he is also the most successful one, winning 4 times the oldest trophy in sailing and being non-defeated over 14 America’s Cup match races. The New-Zealander has an incredible list of honors, being Young World Champion in 1981, Olympic Gold medalist in 1984, 3 times Match Race World Champion and plenty of other titles. CEO of ORACLE TEAM USA, Russell is also skipping the second AC45 yacht of the team in the America’s Cup World Champion. And he’s still proving to the world of sailing that he is the Master of Match Racing.
