Monaco 360 LS review

Monaco 360 LS

The world's first all-mechanical 1/100th of a second chronograph

The Monaco 360 Linear Second Concept Chronograph, a new timepiece which wears its unrivalled Calibre 360 Linear Second precision technology on display.

Baselworld 2006 was the setting for the launch of the next evolutionary phase in TAG Heuer's 1/100th second chronograph technology. The Monaco 360 Linear Second Concept Chronograph, a new timepiece which wears its unrivalled Calibre 360 Linear Second precision technology on display.

Visible chronograph engineering
The Monaco Calibre 360 LS has no dial per say. Instead, it uses meticulously hand-finished engine bridges to reveal the critical functions. The oversized 1/100th second chronograph counter is exterior to the chrono engine. A 15 minute chrono counter is embedded in the engine itself. There is a similarly embedded power reserve indicator at 12 o'clock. A revolutionary linear second indicator is positioned at 3 o'clock using an exclusive hairspring technology.

Effortless readability
The seven distinct metal finishes of the bridges create an easy-to-read and undeniably avant-garde, prestigious dial. The square-faced Monaco Calibre 360 LS is true to the original yet resolutely contemporary, with a highly-faceted polished steel case, a curved sapphire crystal with case-integrated facets, and indicators embedded within the chronograph engine. The two square sapphire crystal windows in the case back provide a very different perspective on the Calibre 360 LS movement, beautifully decorated with Côtes de Genève waves.

In 2007, the MONACO 360 LS Concept Chronograph, the world's most accurate wrist chronograph, was awarded the prestigious iF Design Award in the Leisure/Lifestyle category.
