"You have to keep working, stay focused, never give up, and do what you love more than anything else."

Before Patrick Dempsey, few Hollywood men excelled at acting and motor racing. Fewer still won top prizes in both disciplines.

Patrick Dempsey is even rarer: the greatest driver-actor of our era, his Dempsey Racing team is a fixture in American and European race circuits, and is determined to achieve a podium finish in the most prestigious endurance event in motorsports—the 24 Hours of Le Mans. How? By pursuing passion to the fullest, and never cracking under pressure.

One of the greatest actor-drivers ever, TAG Heuer ambassador Steve McQueen, star of the race film Le Mans, dared to take on the grueling 12 Hours of Sebring race. Now Patrick Dempsey is determined to push McQueen’s Le Mans legacy even further...

One of today’s top television and film actors, he heads not just the Sexiest Man Alive charts but also Dempsey Racing, with podium finishes at Circuit of The Americas, Laguna Seca and at Petit at Le Mans. The team has raced at Daytona and in the grueling off-road Baja race, and this year sees them lined up in the 2014 IMSA TUDOR United SportsCar Championship. His sights, however, are set on the 24 Hour of Le Mans, the most coveted trophy in endurance racing. The Emmy-winning star of Grey’s Anatomy first appeared in the 24 Hours in 2009, where he and his co-driver Patrick Long anchored a ninth-place GT2 finish. Last year he returned with a fourth-place finish in the GTE-AM class in a Porsche 911 GT3 RSR — the newest version of the car Steve McQueen drove in Le Mans. This year he finished fifth. Next year, he’ll be back again, because Patrick Dempsey, like TAG Heuer, never quits. He only knows how to push harder. Like TAG Heuer, he is a path-breaker who refuses limits and, no matter what, never cracks under pressure.
